villas and apartment rentals

Tamariu is south of Platja de Pals and is easily reached via Calella de Palafrugell. The roads from north or south offer some spectacular scenery as they follow the coastline often with some very sharp bends and twists in the road. Look out for convenient view points marked by camara icons on the road signs where you can see the classic Costa Brava coastline.Once you reach Tamariu you understand why it is so popular with visitors. The name is derived from tamarind trees which , along with pine trees, form the backdrop of the slopes behind the bay. It’s a beautiful little bay with a sandy beach and crystal clear water. You can stroll the paved promenade area right round the cove past the restaurants and bars until the path ends at a rock outcrop.
In the other direction you can follow the coastal walk to more viewpoints. In high season parking may be more difficult unless you are up early! In spring and Autumn it’s truly a delightful place to visit.
