Local Area Details

This area is characterised by small coves with sandy beaches in between the rocky headlands. These rock outcrops provide excellent places to snorkel and are often the location for paths and walkways where the spectacular scenery can be admired. Golfers are well catered for with several golf courses a few minutes drive away and watersports enthusiasts can choose from diving, windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling or just messing about in boats! Barcelona is close enough for an easy day trip as are historic Girona and the Salvador Dali museum further up the coast. Local, weekly markets provide colourful opportunities for the serious shopper and the choice of ceramic ware is unlimited as nearby La Bisbal is a major pottery/ ceramic producing centre. Local restaurants and tapas bars offer a choice of regional dishes or international food.
