Closeby are facilities for sailing, windsurfing and snorkelling. Horse riding is available a few minutes drive away. A small but well stocked supermarket is about 400 metres away. The same distance away is a bar/restaurant. A larger supermarket with a complete range of products including beach articles etc can be found a short drive away. Weekly local markets in Palafrugell, Torroella and L'Estartit provide colourful experiences! The local region is famous for pottery and ceramic ware, fruit, medieval villages and Roman remains. This combines with the unusual sight of rice fields and ostrich farms to make interesting visits. Barcelona and Girona are within easy driving distance for day trips or the local train service can be used which provides excellent service at very reasonable prices.
